At Footstools & More we have a confession to make. We simply do not know how many different footstools we can make because we have a vast choice of fabrics, designs, styles, legs, and more. What this means is that there are literally thousands upon thousands of different combinations which means that, when push comes to shove, we would be surprised if we make two footstools that are exactly the same in a single year.
Your choices are literally unlimited because if you cannot find exactly the fabric that you like in our huge range, you can supply your own fabric and we’ll make your footstool using that. You may not believe this, but when you start clicking around our website and looking at all the different possibilities, we believe that you will be amazed.
We produce a lot of footstools in leather these days, because it has become extremely popular over the last few years. Brown leather footstools, black leather footstools, green, blue, red, maroon, grey – the list goes on. Then there is also Idaho (Fabric) which looks just like leather.
Leather is popular because, if you have kids around the house, it is very easy to wipe clean if something gets spilled upon it. You cannot say the same for fabrics. If the kids decide to get their paint pots out and have a fun afternoon, if something gets on to a leather footstool it won’t do much damage. Leather also oozes class. It looks expensive, although it is not really that much more than many of our fabrics.
But buying a footstool is about a lot more than just class. There is the very practical side of things too. When you get home after a hard day’s work, or even just a hard day out with the kids, by the time you have put them to bed, cooked dinner, and eaten it, the only thing that you want to do is to put your feet up and relax with a glass or three of your favourite vino, beer, G & T, or whatever your preferred tipple is. One of our friends says that she just cannot wait for what she refers to as “vodka o’clock”.
And that is the purpose of a footstool. It is so that you can put your feet up and relax. There is something so comforting about being able to get your feet up off the floor while you watch East Enders or Coronation Street, or whatever else is your choice.
But our footstools don’t stop there. You can also have an ottoman which has a lid, and which means that you can use a lot of the space that the footstool takes up for storing “stuff”. CDs, DVD’s, books, magazines, and the kids’ toys. Let’s face it, you don’t want to pack up all the kids’ toys and take them up to their bedrooms, because they will want them all again in the morning, so what better than to tuck them away out of sight, but where they will be to hand when needed?
Yes, there is a lot more to footstools than just something to put your feet up on, which is why we call ourselves Footstools & More.
